- page 13: The Master originally wanted to prevent Marrina from becoming brood-mother to a race of Plodex warriors, as detailed in Alpha Flight vol. 1 #2-4. His plan to create the creatures himself, under his control, was first revealed in #96. Marrina apparently died in Avengers vol. 1 #293, but was revealed to be "sleeping a false death beneath the waves" in Alpha Flight vol. 1 #78.
- page 19: This creature -- or something like it -- was first seen in Alpha Flight vol. 1 #13-16.
